B_Proper15The Southeast Asia Network for the Gospel’s 3rd annual conference is now open for registration. To celebrate the 500th anniversary of the Reformation, this year the theme of our conference is “His Word and Glory in Southeast Asia”. It will be held at the Avana Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand, November 10-12, 2016. The focus of the conference will be to provide a contextual understanding of the importance of Sola Scriptura and Soli Deo Gloria.

In recent years, there have been various prominent pastors throughout the region who have minimized scripture and its authority over our lives by emphasizing that a person’s experiences are a form of revelation from God that is as valid as Scripture. Our conference this year will reconsider two of the historic solas of the Reformation (Sola Scriptura and Soli Deo Gloria) and how they apply in the Southeast Asian context. Our desire is that these teachings will equip and assist both pastors and missionaries in their work for the gospel in this region.

Kim_InformalWe are thankful that this year the Rev. Dr. Lloyd Kim will be the main session speaker for the conference. He will also be one the main panel speakers on Friday night. Dr. Kim has been a missionary in Southeast Asia for over a decade and is currently the International Coordinator for Mission to the World (MTW).

We will also be hosting various workshops that focus on different regional aspects of Southeast Asia in light of Sola Scriptura and Soli Deo Gloria. Topics such as an Islamic Perspective on Scripture and Glory, a Buddhist Perspective on Scripture and Glory and The History of the Five Solas, among others, will be taught and discussed by leaders in these fields.

We look forward to this 3rd annual Southeast Asia Network for the Gospel conference in Bangkok, Thailand. We hope that many of you will be able to join us. Registration is now open. Just click here for more information and to sign up. Act quickly before the price increases in August.
