Shepherding Christ’s Church in SE Asia, our 2017 4th annual conference, will be held from November 9th to 11th in Bangkok, Thailand.
Jesus said, “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.” John 10:11)
Jesus is the Good, Great, True shepherd, shepherding the Church in all areas of the globe, and also in Southeast Asia. He has also willed that the Church be led by His ‘under-shepherds’ – pastors and elders. And those who are in positions of leadership in the church are called to “shepherd the flock of God that is among you, exercising oversight, not under compulsion, but willingly, as God would have you;” (1 Peter 5:2)
This great and high calling, to shepherd Christ’s Church as God would have it done, is the focus for our conference this year.
How do we define pastor & elder? How do we train & develop them? How do we choose the next generation of pastors, and raise them up to leadership? How do we do all this in light of Scripture and in light of the reformation? How do we do this all in our context and culture? These are the questions and topics we will be exploring this November.
